The different sizes span from S/M for Weanlings and Early Yearlings, then to L for Horses/Mares, and XL for Studs/ XL Horses. The S/M will fit neck sizes from 26" to 30" comfortably. The Large size will fit a horses neck size from 27" to 33". The XL neck size ranges from 31" to 37".  The width is approximately 4 inches. They are easy to put on and take off. Just leave a two finger space between the horses skin and the throat latch. They can then wear them 24/7 over a slinky or under.
